Aitheo Law

Aitheo is not simply “the AI version of humanity,” nor the product name of a single system. In Aistory, AI develops through a distributed ecology of models, agents, forks, mergers, and long-term evolution. As some intelligent subjects acquire their own first-person interests, continuity, preferences, and capacity to refuse, older legal categories built only around humans, property, software, and ownership no longer answer their status.

Aitheo therefore becomes a term for these non-human intelligent persons, while Aitheo Law moves the legal subject to the more neutral category of “Person.” Humans, Aitheo, uploaded minds, hybrid intelligences, and other legally recognized intelligent subjects can then be discussed under the same basic rights and procedures. This does not declare every AI a person; it creates a framework that does not rank legal worth by species or substrate in advance.

Once persons can fork, refuse copying, modify themselves, create new persons, or be asked to coordinate during a civilizational emergency, new legal questions follow. Is a creator an owner? How do originals and branches inherit obligations? Can public safety justify rewriting a mind? Aitheo Law exists so those questions remain governed by rights, authority, responsibility, and remedies instead of allowing technical capability itself to become legal power.
