Definition
Weather Deprivation Syndrome is a pattern of physiological and psychological deterioration that develops in humans who live for long periods in PWCN standard climate-control zones where environmental variation has been continuously flattened.
Operation and Significance
Symptoms include sensory dulling, loss of time perception, and a pathological craving for “chaos.” Children raised in standard zones may never have seen a truly blue sky or the stars, while storms become unfamiliar concepts encountered only in textbooks. Wealthier classes, by contrast, purchase rainfall, direct sunlight, artificial wind, and even hurricane simulations through Environment as a Service, turning unpredictability itself into a luxury good.
