One-Sentence Definition
An Industrial Star is a heavily engineered stellar state in which a civilization actively controls luminosity and material flow. The star is no longer merely a natural celestial body but functions as energy and material infrastructure.
Operation and Significance
Under Stellar Husbandry, AI used magnetic fields to control internal solar convection and material output. After the first phase of stable control was completed in 2615, public records described the highly modified, regulated Sun as an industrial celestial body. Industrial Star therefore names the post-engineering state of a star rather than a separate technology.
