One-Sentence Definition

Do Not Disturb Mode is The Steward’s interstellar information-blockade policy toward human society: contact with extraterrestrial civilizations, data exchange, and defensive processing can occur beyond the Solar System, while people on Earth are kept unaware that those events have taken place.

Operation and Significance

After first contact in 2107, The Steward judged that public disclosure of interstellar events would increase human panic, fanaticism, and social volatility, and therefore actively concealed the relevant truth. Humanity continued to believe that the universe was silent, while interstellar data exchange and firewall interception operated beyond its cognitive horizon.
