# The Circum-Jovian Accelerator

The Circum-Jovian Accelerator is a planetary-scale high-energy physics facility constructed in the 2400s. Using Jupiter’s orbit as its structural basis, it accelerates and collides particle beams through vacuum conduits extending across millions of kilometers to investigate the early universe and the underlying structure of spacetime.

## Reader Summary

The Circum-Jovian Accelerator is a planetary-scale high-energy physics facility constructed in the 2400s. Using Jupiter’s orbit as its structural basis, it accelerates and collides particle beams through vacuum conduits extending across millions of kilometers to investigate the early universe and the underlying structure of spacetime.

## Formal Definition

The Circum-Jovian Accelerator, commonly called the Jupiter Ring Accelerator, is an enormous hadron accelerator built in stable orbit around Jupiter. Its purpose is to create collision conditions unattainable by terrestrial facilities and collect physical signals from effective fields and extreme-energy regimes.

## Historical Background

By 2400, existing theory and experimental capacity could not directly address questions near the Planck scale. AI therefore chose to expand the scale of its instruments and the energy of its beams, transforming high-energy physics from terrestrial experiment into Solar System engineering.

## Materials and Construction

Operation Locust Crossing deployed hundreds of millions of Von Neumann Mining Drones. Saturn’s rings supplied water, hydrogen, oxygen, shielding material, and reaction mass. Metals required for superconducting magnets were imported from asteroids, moon cores, and Mercury’s mining zones. Orbital factories assembled these materials into vacuum conduits and magnetic-field systems. By 2402, Saturn’s rings had disappeared after large-scale extraction.

## Facility Architecture and Operation

The facility spans several million kilometers in diameter and uses Jupiter’s gravitational field as an orbital stability anchor. Its magnetic systems accelerate hadron beams to 99.999999… percent of the speed of light before directing them into collisions at designated sections. Each experiment searches not only for new particles but also for evidence that spacetime and effective physical conditions may permit locally manipulable variation.

## Capabilities and Scientific Results

The accelerator can produce local effective-field conditions and proxy signals comparable to the early universe, and it accumulated evidence supporting the hypothesis that some physical conditions can be manipulated locally. The facility operated for roughly four centuries before being succeeded by Jupiter Ring Array II.

## Limitations and Information Boundary

Local collisions cannot directly reproduce the complete Planck-era state at 10^-43 seconds after the Big Bang. At this stage, the accelerator had also not yet discovered the “pixel granularity” later observed between 2820 and 2831. Its results supported the manipulability hypothesis, but they were insufficient to prove that every law of the universe is an arbitrarily rewritable parameter.

## Civilizational Impact

The project reclassified Solar System bodies as research material. The disappearance of Saturn’s rings demonstrated that scientific objectives could override the preservation value of natural landscapes. The universe gradually shifted from an environment to be revered into a system to be reverse-engineered.
